This week on talkin Travel with Jane from Travel with a Cause its 9 days til the Tasmanian borders reopen and a week before the new entry system via the Tas E-Travel online system.
People entering the State from identified low-risk jurisdictions will be required to register their travel and contact details via the Tas E-Travel online systems a maximum of 3 days prior to arrival. The registration process will be available via this website from October 23.
Travellers who have been in Affected Regions and Premises (such as Victoria and NSW) will still need to apply to enter the State via the G2G PASS system.
Travellers who have been in Affected Regions and Premises will also need to quarantine in state nominated hotel at their own expense unless they traveller is returning home to Tasmania .In which case you may be granted the chance to quarantine in your own home after returning for 14 days. .
Tasmanians will be able to travel freely to SA,NT,QLD and the ACT…While Tasmania has opened it Border to WA the Western Australian Border remains firmly closed to all other states.
Anyone wanting to travel to WA must apply via the G2G PASS and be aware they must quarantine in WA on arrival for 14 days.
