In 2022, Theatre Royal is partnering with a number of Tasmanian producers and artists who will bring their own unique and engaging stories to the stages. As well as some that aren’t on our stages. The first event in the program is a very special walking tour by local Tasmanian Aboriginal historian Nunami Sculthorpe-Green called takara nipaluna, or Walking Hobart.
The Studio Theatre is packed full of incredible drama in 2022. The more intimate space will allow patrons to be fully immersed into the heart of every story.
“You will see me trying out a range of new ideas throughout 2022 as I experiment with different ways we can use these fabulous buildings, providing new experiences that aim to diversify our program and make it more relevant and accessible to a wider range of people.”
