Compassion Australia CEO Dr Tim Hanna joins Dave on the home run to talk about the House of Compassion.
A recently retired teacher from Kingston, Tasmania is building a home only to give all monies from the sale of the
house to Australian charity Compassion Australia.
Tasmanian local Alan Short decided to use the extra time on his hands to do good and is currently constructing a
new home to raise funds for children living in poverty.
Alan has sponsored a child through Compassion Australia for many years and has always had a passion for helping those in need.
The money raised from the sale of the property— ‘The House for Compassion’—will fund a water and sanitation
project in Ethiopia.
The new toilets and showers will help keep more than 950 children safe from preventable
diseases, plus provide desperately needed education around the importance of sanitation.
