Strong Roots, High Hopes – Hobart TAS

Humanity and creation are groaning, and it’s a reality that spans across generations, continents and contexts. But a different kind of conversation is happening this Spring – one centred not on despair, but on active courage, justice, and faith.

We’re delighted to invite you to Tearfund Australia’s Strong Roots, High Hopes event tour, happening across the country this August and September.

• Be immersed in stories of resilience and hope from next-gen leaders, seasoned advocates and faith leaders, including special guest, Marlon Phiri (Zambia)
• Hear how a growing movement – from students to pastors; farmers to everyday people of faith – is strengthening the roots of hope despite unsteady ground
• Discover why now is a critical moment to take action – and how you can be part of it
• Walk away with tools to put hope into practice and share the message of hope in your own context
• We’ll provide a light supper too – so you can enjoy good conversation over good food with other people passionate about faith, justice and hope!

These gatherings are a meaningful space to connect, learn and deepen our collective impact. We warmly invite you to join us, whether you are already involved with Tearfund or are simply exploring how to live out your heart for justice in everyday life.

Date: Wednesday, 2 September 2026, 6:30pm supper for a 7:00pm start.

Location: St Mark’s Anglican Church, Cnr Scott & Clarence Sts, Bellerive TAS.

Cost: $15 (includes light supper).

Doors Open: 30 minutes before the listed start time.

Parking: Street parking available along Scott Street and Clarence Street.
