Community Based Support yesterday  delivered its 5000th meal to a client, part of their new services caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Community Based Support CEO Allyson Warrington joins Dave to discuss a  new campaign and how it  illustrates the services the organisation delivers to more than 3500 aged care and disability clients Statewide.

“Our new awareness campaign captures the concept of Community Based Support empowering our clients to achieve their goals and live the life they choose,” Ms Warrington said.

“We provide a wide range of services to our aged care and disability clients, enabling them to remain in their homes within their own environments.

“We have designed and completed the advertisements within COVID-19, using Tasmanian professional actors, clients and staff to create, film and act in them.

“The awareness campaign takes directly from our clients and why they ‘Choose CBS’ to provide them with the services they want and need.”

Ms Warrington said Community Based Support, like all Tasmanian businesses, have had to adapt through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For example, unfortunately we had to close our very popular Social Hubs in the South and North, which saw many of our clients come to us every day.

“We ‘pivoted’ the Hub in the South to make and provide meals and one-on-one social support to our clients. We are very proud to will be delivering our 5000th meal yesterday.”
