Busy lives, medical costs and a dose of denial can result in us turning our back on pain. In fact, Australians are reaching for painkillers more frequently with paracetamol prescriptions rising from 4.8 million in 2010 to 7.3 million in 2016 to become the 4th most common drug prescribed.
Peak body, Osteopathy Australia are encouraging Australians to review their use of painkillers during Osteopathy Awareness Week (16-22 April) and source the cause of their pains.
Antony Nicholas, CEO of Osteopathy Australia is available along with Osteopaths from around the country to shed light on the different approach that osteopathy has in the treatment of pain.
