World’s Greatest Shave aims to beat blood cancer

 

The World’s Greatest Shave is back this March and registrations are now open for anyone willing to make a hairy sacrifice to support Victorian’s with blood cancer.

 

Dave chats with Cathy McGouch about the Leukaemia Foundations W orld’s Greatest Save is an exciting event that tackles a very serious issue. A recent analysis by the Leukaemia Foundation shows the number of Australians dying from blood cancer is now DOUBLE those losing their life to melanoma¹.

 

“Blood cancer remains the leading cause of death among young people aged 1-14.

 

Blood cancer includes diseases like leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

 

It is because of the extraordinary Aussies that help beat blood cancer by taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave that the Leukaemia Foundation is able fund vital research that will help more people survive blood cancers and improve their quality of life.

 

Registrations are now open for World’s Greatest Shave and anyone can get involved by shaving, colouring or even waxing their hair! Individual, teams, schools or businesses are all encouraged to get behind this iconic event.
