ultra106five is Hobart’s Christian radio station
Christian beliefs and values are the key ingredient that set us apart.

Almost 70%* of Hobartians identify with Christianity (but don’t necessarily attend church).

We’ve been broadcasting in Hobart since March 30, 1980. For much of that time we’ve been known as 7HFC FM, or FM103. On December 16, 2003 along with a frequency change and increased signal strength, we became ultra106five.

ultra106five is community organisation and a not for profit charity. ultra106five exists to serve our community supporting many community events and organisations including The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal, Compassion Australia, and Operation Christmas Child.

ultra106five has a kid-safe format with no swearing and no crude lyrics in the music.
