Since 1973, Leigh has worked in journalism and news reporting starting as a cadet journalist with Radio 2GB in Sydney. Over the years he has worked on radio and television in both local and foreign correspondent positions. In 1997, Leigh took a year to gain a Diploma of Bible and Missions at Moore Theological College. He is also the publisher of the Bibles@work magazine from the Bible Society in NSW, WA and Tasmania. Then in 2008, Leigh had an overwhelming experience, when he lay down for a 10 minute nap and woke two hours later feeling like he had suffered a major car crash. Thus began his awful ride with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which lasted over two years. He subsequently authored a book I’m Not Crazy, I’m Just a Little Unwell (Strand, 2005) which recounts his experiences during this time. As a result of his illness he has become a more sympathetic and caring listener, and brings a special compassionate edge to the show. Leigh is especially pleased to be involved with a radio program like Open House. He says, “When you’re conveying ideas of life, faith and culture and ultimate questions it is the most wonderful tool to really connect with people.” So – something to look forward to on your Sunday nights! | ||||

Sky News journalist Leigh Hatcher joins you on Sunday nights from 8-11pm.
