Why a radiothon?

Between now and 10pm Friday the 28th of June ultra106.5fm hope to raise $120,000 by holding an event called a radiothon.

Through the support of listeners like you lives are being changed in both small and big ways.

You also provide parents have a family safe radio station that promises no swearing, crude lyrics, or innuendo, and provides listeners with inspiration and advice about relationships and parenting.

The money raised through radiothon makes ultra106.5fm possible. Thank you!

ultra106.5fm is a not for profit charity, 40% of the stations income comes from donations, and all money raised goes back into helping ultra106.5fm serve our community.

Why does ultra106.5fm need donations?
While we have advertising (we call it sponsorship), the government limits the amount of sponsorship we are allowed to play to .5 minutes an hour (compared to the commercial stations 18 minutes). The government does this to make sure that the station is supported by the community. While sponsorship provides some income, the growth and the increased impact ultra106.5fm has made on lives here in Tasmania and overseas would not have been possible without our listener’s generous support.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. You will receive an official receipt for tax purposes.
